Copper & Heat is a podcast exploring the unspoken rules and traditions of restaurant kitchens through the stories of people who work in them. They challenge the exclusionary systems that cooks and chefs have been upholding for generations and focus on issues that underpin and enable discrimination in the restaurant industry that many don’t question.
Working in restaurants has always been hard. Now it’s even harder. In Pre-Shift, the third season of Copper & Heat, they’re getting hospitality folks tips, tools, and resources for navigating the challenges of working in the restaurant industry.
The series will run for 12 weeks with bi-weekly themes. Each theme includes two podcast episodes, as well as an IGTV with one of the featured guests to dig a little deeper.
